  December 3 First AIF contingent arrives at Mena Camp, Egypt

  February 1 Second convoy arrives in Egypt.  12,500 soldiers  
  February 19 Anglo-French bombardment of forts at entrance to the Dardanelles  
  February 25 Queen Elizabeth in action  
  March 4 First troops reach Lemnos  
  March 16 Rear-Admiral de Robeck takes over command from Vice-Admiral Carden  
  March 18 Loss of Irresistible, Ocean and Bouvet.  Imperial navy repelled by Turkey  
  April 17, 18 E15 stranded off Kephez Point, and blown up by fleet's picket boats  
  April 25 Australian and New Zealand troops land at Anzac, and British at several points about the tip of the Gallipoli Peninsular  
  April 26 Anzac troops establish themselves in semi-circle based on the coast, and repel Turkish attacks.  British, re-inforced by French troops, take Sedd-el-Bahr.  General Hamilton ordered the Anzac troops to dig in.  
  April 27 Allies advance towards Achi Baba and village of Krithia; front established two miles from the point of the Peninsular  
  April 29 At sea, successes of E14 in Sea of Marmara  
  April 30 AE2 sunk in attempting to enter Sea of Marmara.  Landing of French troops on right of Krithia front completed.  British reinforcements also landed  
  May 2 Anzac assault at Baby 700 failed  
  May 6, 7, and 8 Three day's battle for Krithia.  Anzacs send part of their forces to this front, and at the same time repel Turkish attacks  
  May 12 Goliath torpedoed  
  May 12 - 28 Further slight success on Krithia front; French take Haricot Redoubt  
  May 19 Turks opposite Anzac reinforced.  Anzacs repel tremendous attack and inflict loss of 7,000 men, losing 500 themselves

  May 27 Majestic torpedoed; larger Allied vessels withdrawn; successes of E11 in Sea of Marmara  
  June 4 Third great attempt upon Achi Baba; 500 yards' progress.  Anzacs' attack diverts reinforcements for the Turks on Krithia front, and gains 500 yards

  July 31 Troops from 11th Battalion capture and hold Leane's Trench

  August 6 Anzacs attack Lone Pine  
  August 7 Turkish positions at The Nek charged by the 8th and 10th Australian Light Horse Regiments  
  August 7, 8, 9 and 10 Anzac and Suvla forces link up and establish united front, whose farthest point is two and a half miles inland.  Anzacs reach crest of  Sari Bair, but have to withdraw to lower slopes owing to failure of advance elsewhere  
  August 21 Suvla force takes and loses Hill 70; Anzacs take Hill 60  
  September 2 Troopship Southland torpedoed off Lemnos  
  October 20 General Sir Ian Hamilton superseded in the Gallipoli command by Major-General Munro  
  November 27 Lord Kitchener visits Anzac and Krithia fronts  
  December 7 Britain decides to withdraw all Allied forces from Gallipoli  
  December 20 Last of the Anzac troops withdrawn
