"Amos was shot through the
head and killed instantly while observing enemy through field glasses.
His mate Pte Hillyer (same Battn. and Coy.) was firing at enemy by his
side at the time. Hillyer reported these details to informant
immediately afterwards. Hilllyer was subsequently killed"
