General

"About 15 of us were within 3 miles of Anzac when we struck Turks' main body.  In retiring Bell got wounded and we had to leave him.  This was April 25, 5pm. This is all we know of him"

"Pt Bell was with witness with an advance party on 25.4.15 when he was shot in the middle of the thigh.  His two companions bound up his wound.  Witness states that the party had to retire and in all probability Bell had to be left.   This is the last that is known of him.
