Carl Janssen landed at
Gallipoli on 25 April 1915. The boat that both brothers were in
was hit by a shell. Carl received a wound to the abdomen.
He died at 11:45am on 26 April on the S. S. City of Benares.
He was buried at sea between Gallipoli and Alexandria.
