General

Thomas Lee went missing between 6 - 8 August 1915.  A court of inquiry held at Tel-el-kebir on 12 February 1916 stated that they believed him to be dead, but that insufficient time had elapsed.

His death was confirmed by a court of inquiry held in the field, France on 5 June 1916.

Thomas Lee enlisted in the Royal Marines on 14 April 1898 at Eastney Banks, England. He was discharged on 22 June 1910.  He was 5' 7½" when he enlisted and 5' 9½" when discharged.  He had a fresh complexion, brown hair, grey eyes and a small mole on the left side of his neck.
