"STONEHAM was killed by Machine Gun fire on the 6th August. He was cut almost in two.  Lieut. BARLOW was killed at the same time.  This occurred at Lone Pine in the Trenches.  STONEHAM'S body was buried in the Trench and he was buried where he was killed.”  Sergt. R. L. GRAHAM 20, D Coy, 3rd Battalion, Tel-el-Kebir, 23 Feb 1916.
